Great pasta often brings Italy to mind - but it should evoke images of the Canadian Prairies, where the world's best spaghetti is grown. Western Canadian durum wheat is used to make fine pasta around the globe - in fact, Canada exports more durum wheat than any other country.

The Canadian Wheat Board is partnering with Primo Foods to promote the benefits of Canadian durum wheat and Canadian-made pasta. Look for the CWB's brand logo in TV commercials and other media initiatives for Primo's GrainWise pasta, and check out upcoming in-store activities.

GrainWise contains both whole-grain and whole-wheat pastas. Whole-grain wheat products are made with all three parts of a wheat kernel: the endosperm, which contain carbohydrates for energy, the bran, which is filled with fibre and the germ, which is rich in vitamins and minerals. Whole-wheat products are made with the endosperm and bran.
