Farmer recognition certificates
The certificate
Farmer recognition certificates honour producers who have actively farmed grain for 40 years or more.
Long-standing members of the western Canadian farming community deserve recognition for the hard work and dedication they have shown, for their contribution to the economy of Western Canada, and for the high-quality food they have provided for people around the world.
CWB farmer recognition certificates honour these contributions. Certificates bear the name of the recipient and the CWB corporate seal, and are signed by the CWB’s chief executive officer and the chairman of the board of directors.
Certificate criteria
Farmers are eligible to receive a certificate if they have actively grain farmed for 40 years or more. Applications should be completed and signed by the actual farmer and/or a reliable witness who has known the farmer in a significant way, such as a family member or long term neighbour. A witness may apply for a certificate on behalf of a farmer if the certificate is to be presented to the farmer by the witness.
