Canadian Foodgrains Bank
The Canadian Foodgrains Bank (CFGB) is a non-profit, charitable organization that collects grain and cash donations in efforts to end hunger in developing countries.
You can donate any grade and quantity of your wheat and durum to the CFGB. CFGB deliveries are not subject to CWB delivery calls but are dependent on elevator space.
Grain delivered for donation:
- can be either wheat or durum
- must be in storable condition
- is subject to elevator space
- is exempt from CWB delivery authorizations
- is not included in CWB pool accounts and, therefore not eligible for any future CWB adjustment, interim of final payments
- cannot be contracted under an Identity Preserved contract program
The following classes and grades are eligible for donation:
- Nos. 1, 2 and 3 Canada Western Red Spring (CWRS) wheat
- All grades of Canada Prairie Spring Red (CPSR) wheat
- All grades of Canada Prairie Spring White (CPSW) wheat
- All grades of Canada Western Extra Strong (CWES) wheat
- All grades of Canada Western Red Winter (CWRW) wheat
- No. 1 and No. 2 Canada Western Soft White Spring (CWSWS) wheat
- Nos. 1, 2 and 3 Canada Western Hard White Spring (CWHWS) wheat
- All grades Canada Western Amber Durum (CWAD)
Feed wheat, feed barley or any grades not shown above are not eligible.
