How long do you keep resumes?
We keep submitted resumes for consideration in future recruitments on file for six months.
What information should I include in my cover letter?
A cover letter should indicate the competition number (if applicable). It should also include a description of how your experience and education meets the required skills and abilities described in the job posting and your salary expectations.
How will I know if I am selected for an interview?
You will be notified. We thank all applicants. However, only candidates selected for an interview will be notified by telephone.
What can I expect in the interview?
The CWB invites short-listed candidates who meet the minimum qualifications of the position for an interview with a small panel. The panel usually includes the hiring manager, a human resources consultant and a third member who works in a relevant business unit within the CWB.
We use behaviour-based interview questions to fairly and objectively assess each interviewee. In order to prepare, you should have some examples from your past experience where you have effectively demonstrated the required job competencies (See "Our requirements" in the job posting).
You can search the Internet to read more about behaviour-based interviews.

What if I need accommodation during the process?
Applicants requiring accommodation during the competition process should contact People and Organizational Services on a confidential basis to discuss their needs. Job postings are available in alternative formats (Braille, audiotape, large print, computer diskette) upon request.
