Access to Information and Privacy

The Access to Information Act gives Canadian citizens and corporations located in Canada the right to access information in CWB records that are not of a personal nature. For information on how to prepare and submit a request under the Access to Information Act, you may download the Access to Information Request Form (PDF). (Note that the $5.00 application fee for a request should be made payable to the "Canadian Wheat Board" and not the Receiver General of Canada.)

The Privacy Act provides Canadian citizens, permanent residents or individuals present in Canada with the right to access their personal information held about them by the CWB. It also governs the collection, retention, use, protection and disclosure of personal information. For information on how to prepare and submit a Privacy Act request, you may download the Personal Information Request Form (PDF).

The Access to Information and Privacy Office (ATIP Office) is responsible for implementing and administering the Access to Information Act and the Privacy Act within the Canadian Wheat Board (CWB). It also ensures compliance with the legislation and related policies.

The ATIP Office coordinates responses to requests for information held by the Canadian Wheat Board. Staff in the ATIP Office can be contacted at:
